THE CHARLOTTE FOLK SOCIETY - Celebrating Regional Music and Dance and More At Festival in the Park

The Charlotte Folk Society is dedicated to promoting the ongoing enjoyment and preservation of traditional and contemporary folk music, dance, crafts and lore.

Their folk stage at Festival in the Park is one way they carry out this mission. At the folk stage you can listen to a jack tale, join in a community dance workshop with live fiddle and banjo music, learn the basic clogging step, learn to play a dulcimer or just sit back and enjoy the music and dance performances that include a variety of styles.

You'll hear Old Time, Bluegrass, Celtic, singer/songwriters, drumming groups, storytellers and contemporary folk. Come and join in on the fun at the Folk Stage sponsored by the Charlotte Folk Society.

A detailed schedule is listed on this website under schedule of events. Check out The Charlotte Folk Society website at www.folksociety.org for more information about the folk stage, membership information and details about monthly gatherings.
