year, thousands of people attend Festival in the Park. They come for the
art, fun, entertainment, food, and most of all, the festive atmosphere.
There’s truly nothing else like it in Charlotte. Soft music drifting through
the cool fall evenings…..tents aglow with strings of twinkling lights…tiny
faces giggling through clown make-up…and an overall mood of joy and
camaraderie. It’s
no wonder that for over a quarter of a century the Festival in the Park has
become one of the City’s most beloved traditions, a tradition that depends
on the generosity of those who understand the importance of supporting the
arts in our area.
To Many, The Festival Is Their Only Exposure To The Arts!
While opera
patrons and theater buffs attend the Festival, thousands of others arrive to
enjoy the only exposure to the arts they’ll have during the year. Festival
in the Park is free to all, everyone from toddlers to teens to retirees,
across all segments of the population.

While your
contributions are very valuable to those attending the Festival, they are
priceless to the hundreds of exhibitors, vendors, entertainers and
volunteers who stage the event. For no one cherishes the Festival more than

Festival in the Park
is a nonprofit organization that relies on the generous support of public
donations for its continuance and growth each year. Since the City or
County does not underwrite Festival in the Park, its continuance depends
upon contributions from individuals, businesses and foundations. Make a
difference to the dancers, painters, clowns and crooners, and to the
thousands of people to whom they bring joy by joining Friends of the
Festival.
