Festival in the Park, Charlotte's oldest and ever popular art's festival, opens Friday, September 23, 2010 at Freedom Park and runs through Sunday, September 25. Admission is free to all! Over 150 artisans have been invited to exhibit and sell their work at Festival in the Park. Festival spectators will have the chance to meet and chat with the artists while looking for that special piece of artwork to grace their home. From caricature artists to fine oil paintings and pottery, the Festival offers art for all ages. The Festival Lake Walk is another area of artists exhibiting at Festival in the Park, consisting of traditional arts and crafts. Judging of this area will take place during the first two days of the Festival. Best of Lake Walk
will be given a cash prize as well as a free
tent space in the Lake Walk area the following year. Festival Lake Walk Awards are as follows:
